I dont understand guys. Its a horrible network that is filled with superficial people, that represents all that is "Wrong" with America and possibly the world. Sometimes i watch the shows as i boil in anger, including jealousy.

I wonder what its like sometimes, to live a completely sheltered life. To live a world where you are born with EVERYTHING and your good looks makes everyone around you respect you. Its as if their looks automatically have made others decide they are good people, and worth the time of day. Im envious of their petty worries,and blindsighted views.

We have people on this forum who question life, death, and suffering in the world. Most the people on MTV seem to struggle endlessly to the question of "Which designer shoe should i buy?"

Just thought id ramble on. I dont know if you guys ever read the story Siddhartha....but he talks about something like this. His desire to live a normal life like all the others, and he even gets sucked into their way of life. Great book.

You know whats worse than MTV?

People who bitch about it, even though they still watch it.

I think its garbage, so I don't turn it on. If you have such a problem with it, try doing the same; it really is that simple.

MTV stopped being good right around the time when they took off Liquid Television and Headbanger's Ball.
I stopped watching it when Real World 1 came out. That was probably in 1994 or something.

TV in general is a big steaming pile of dogshit. I don't even own one anymore and haven't for about 4 years. Good riddance.

Yeah, its sad that most people on here arent old enough to remember the early years of MTV. It was actually very progressive, and even somewhat intelligent.
