Can't stand living upstate

This place is starting to piss me off. It's so fucking boring up here, absolutely nothing is ever going on.

If it wasn't for weed I would probably go insane.  Anyone else live in upstate/country areas that suck?

Nothing goes on here, the people in my college sucks, there aren't many good restaurants here, I have no close friends in my area, and I have no social scenes here that I can meet girls at.

:hulk: Felt like ranting!  I hate my parents for moving up here 5 years ago, I gotta figure out where I am going with my college so I can make some money and get the fuck out of this place asap!!!!

I really believe people like me benefit the most from weed... I really don't know how I would enjoy myself in this lame area without it  :bouncysmoke:

Up what state?
Central New York is pretty booty, but it's nice to come home and see friends once every few months. It will be so much better when we're all 21.

I,m originally from a hick Okla town of 5000, I know what your feeling,
if I did,t have family there I would stay at least 200 miles away, at all times.

That,s why I got out and came to Dallas.

If I may ask, Why Dallas? I've lived in Texas my whole life and they have some really, really shitty laws. Although there are plenty of tolerant people, and a LOT of drugs..

I fled dallas a year and a half ago. I can't say you've made much of an improvement.

Dallas sucks.

weed is a fucking life saver. I just vaped a bowl now that's it night and I feel amazing.  Weed is my cure for night time depression :stoner: as long at doesn't give me a brain damage, I will rely on it for my happiness until I meet a girl I like :bongroll:  Good music and TV shows help too, but gotta have weed to heighten the sounds and visuals!!

* I like how when I am high, I can look at my life from a different angle and enjoy it. Truth is my life really isn't bad and I am happier than most people I know, but I am lacking direction at the moment and turning 20 last april has made me feel a little depressed.  It's so much easier to do be lazy, enjoy being high, and getting lost in my thoughts when I am younger.  I miss being 18.

not trying to sound all philisophical, but this "wanting to get somewhere else" attitude is pretty normal among us humans.  we haven't learned (at least most of us) to find the joy in the present moment.  until that happens, no place you go will satisfy you.  once you get there, the bliss you feel will be temporary.  it won't be long before you're bored again.

I live in upstate NY and have no urge to leave, not far anyways.  My dream is the Adirondacks, I'm not much of a night life person though, I just like the mountains, my weed, and my shrooms :mushroom2:

Presently, I'm at my apt. in NJ where I keep my computer. I can't wait to get back to my home in the Catskills... no computer :thumbup:, free cable hook up 4 life, smokey woodstove, pitchers of :beer: for $4.50  less than 2 miles from home, great music scene in Woodstock :hippie: (10 miles away), no traffic(except weekend skiers), greenhouse just waiting for warmer weather, and a hot tub just waiting for me and my old ladys' tired bones to soak and sip champagne and listen to the Spinners full blast...

'Tis true.
Coming home this break kinda sucked because about half my friends are 21 or have IDs, so they go out. That leaves the rest of us sitting around doing even less than usual.

I'm not saying it will make life infinitely better (although it very well may :lol:), just saying it will make coming back home on break better. There really isn't much to do in Syracuse besides go out, trust me.
