My very amateur pastel sketchbook

This is my first sketch book I have ever bought. I wanted to see some opinion or commentation on my drawings. Ive never really been into drawing/painting but I got enough an urge to get some basic supplies.<BR>




This drawing was not done by me, but my artistic girlfriend.<BR>

The following 35 drawings were all drawn in the span of the 43:00 album Dark Side of The Moon while I was dosed on mushrooms.



Any comments welcomed!

Yes 90% of those were drawn the first day I drew in the book, like anything you gain skills as you go along

put them on canvas and shamelessly self promote for like 15 years and maybe you'll be a modern abstract master and those squiggles will sell for like 100K

Try picking out a picture you like and drawing it. A reference is a good way to learn.

Biggest thing I learned is not to waste a piece of paper just drawing a couple of lines. And Ive also found its much easier starting in pencil sometimes its hard to tell with the pastels what kind of line its actually going to draw. I think they appear as child drawings because they were all very simple to draw and dont really represent anything. Im actually 19 years of age :FattyNoneck:

I enjoy that you actually did something. Fuck everybody else and their conditioned opinions--you expressed your Self on sheets of paper and without fear, posted them for the world's viewing. That is awesome.

I am academically trained and most of the time, am too fucking intimidated to add a single graphite line on a blank sheet.
