I went last year when it was in the everglades on an Indian reservation. There was some minor police presence compared to other festivals, but it was still a wild time out in the fields with shows and crazy people all going late into the night.

It was one of the funnest festivals I've ever been to.

That aside, I was definitely thinking about returning but I don't think this style of show really qualifies as what we come to think of as a festival. If you don't have a festival grounds where everyone lives, wanders, and explores together I think it takes a lot of the experience away; and I'm not even talking about drugs and all that shit.

I had to drive about 15 hours to get there last time, so I don't think Ill be making the trek for a "Gates open 11am each morning.  Festival ends at 12 midnight each evening" experience.

Meh, kinda disappointing. :shrug:

Randomly pulling my gf and I out of our tent at like 7am on Friday. Had some lsd and herb. Got tazed for trying to swallow the lsd. It sucked pretty bad.

I was gonna post about Langerado earlier because I was thinking about the possibility.
Then I thought "I know exactly what Blissed will say about that."
I'm gonna save my money for summer fests, lineup isn't that appealing (although good.)

Yep. A felony for the cid, but the mj was only a half oz. Just a misdemeanor. I got 2 years probation and a suspended liscense.

Me too. Although, I would love to see Public Enemy again. Holy Fuck is way up on the list of groups that I would love to see, as well, but fuck that. Maybe they'll be at Rothbury.

Holy Fuck was on the schedule for Lollapalooza originally, but then the schedule they handed out at the doors had another band in their time slot so I went to a different stage.

Turns out they showed up and played anyway, I was so pissed I missed them.

I'd definitely love to see PE too, and I imagine Snoop would be fun.

I'll probably end up doing Lolla again this summer (especially easy because one of my friends is from a Chicago suburb), and then some sort of camping fest. Maybe Rothbury, maybe something smaller. Still plenty of time to decide.

man this is disapointing to hear all this. i was looking forward to going there. what are the odds of police pulling you aside and searching you there? did they have a reason to earch you? id hate to get there and end up getting felonys and shit cus i have shit on me. which i was planning to bring

I live insouth florida and dj alot of the festivals that come here. The cops will target anyone whose eyes dont look sober. Although ive never been arrested at a festival I have been arrested several times in south florida and all the cops from palm beach down are pricks. I have to turn myself in for 10 days at the end of january for a fuckin dui while pumping gas. Figure that 1 out. Either way, there are a ton of sick parties down here but unless you know how the police work your putting yourself at risk. Dont be stupid, dont get too sloppy while having shit on you and dont get mouthy with the cops and you should be alright. If you are gonna go the hotel route then dont haave too many peeps in your room at once and dont have alot of noise. Miami tightens up there units and increases there patrols for all concerts, festivals...events in general...we are home to under covers in ferraris, so dont get fooled.

Like I said, it was completely random. They came with the excuse that they had been tipped off that we were dealing(which we weren't). This excuse ended up being bullshit, because I had a motion of discovery done on the case and it was in writing that it was a random shakedown. I hadn't even smoked at our campsite at all.
