feeling like you need a girlfriend

is kind of annoying? I am looking but there aren't many events going on these days where I can meet girls, but that's besides the fact that it's hard to hit on girls due to fear of awkward moments :eek:

I'm in the same boat, most of my friends have girlfriends and it sucks, especially when I'm hanging out with them because I'm always the fifth wheel. I wish there were more local things that go on, I can always chat up girls at shows because we are there for the same band but talking to a random girl on the street or in line at the store is a lot different...

Need is unattractive.  You don't need a girlfriend.  If you're living and breathing, you have everything you need.  Everything else is bonus, so have fun.  Learn to have fun without seeking approval from other people.  That's attractive. 

You have to act without worrying about embarrassment, or else you will be paralyzed and uninteresting to others.  Embarrassment can only happen when you convince yourself that you suck.  Be friendly, talk a lot.  Forget yourself, just focus on the other people.  I don't know what else I can say, just don't ever beat up on yourself for saying something dumb or for getting a bad reaction.  Losers aren't people who say dumb things, they're people who are afraid to say anything.  Interact interact interact. 

There are unlimited people out there to alienate, so you might as well says some dumb things and step on some toes so you can learn it isn't a big deal :lol:  Making a fool of yourself makes you stronger because it breaks down walls that keep you scared and uninteresting.  Go do it.  :beer:

I've always felt like I needed a girlfriend, ever since I turned 11 or something like that.

The sad fact is that the more you try to get a girlfriend, the less likely you are to get one.

But your "need" to have a girlfriend is probably to hide some kind of insecurity, no?

Just be yourself and don't rush things. Not only will that help you get a chick, but it will help you get the right chick. If you are acting like someone you are not and pick up a girl, or are in too big of a hurry and get a girl...it's not too sure of a thing in the long run.

Find someone who likes you for you, and wont hate the real you in 2 months when you start to "change."
