n2o cracker pissing me off

i couldn't find a better photo so i just used one from ebay hah..
anyways i bought a cracker some months ago that looks exactly like those in the photo, and i've wasted 6 cartridges of n2o already.
it is really pissing me off. the gas is leaking out the sides, i guess cause it is not made well? so though i have a cracker and a box of cartridges i haven't had a chance to even really try it yet.
any recommendations for a cracker that actually works? maybe a brand name or a link?

Uh, even greased straight threads aren't airtight

You need an o-ring at the bottom, that is compressed before the cartridge is "cracked"

Go to Home Depot, find the right sized round o-ring, try again.

I'd try Teflon tape. You can find it at any hardware store in the pluming section. It is made for sealing threads.

he'll be replacing that every couple of uses, the o-ring is the
best idea but it'll need to be machined to accept the o-ring
and as for the greased threads, that's a must with soft metals

3 carts in that works well, 3 carts a balloon is nice. I usually go for 6 in a balloon tho =D :balloon:

Not hard if you know where to look. It's Detroit. lol.

There's normally 2 good suppliers at any one time i'd say. Crooked dentists, then gets handed down.

Party got busted last weekend, everyone got tickets. No2 sometimes brings shady folks out of the woodwork sometime.

The restrictions differ from place to place, in some places you just need a valid id to buy food grade.

Depends, usually a 60lb tank can run around $500. But, at $5 balloons, thats alot of cheddar. A smaller tank, say 40lb runs around $300.

and with this one you just plug the little cartridges into that thing on the right?
found one on ebay that looks very similar but before i spend a whopping $25 id rather find out if it works for what i have..
ima n2o noob.

There is actually supposed to be a rubber washer/o-ring (not sure what the proper term is) below the threads to seal it from leaks when the two pieces come together and prevent this from happening.  Looks like the ones in the pic are missing this, probably why you have the leak. 

Just pick up the proper size from the hardware store and you should be good...

The thicker end screws off, put a cartridge in, tip down, facing the canister, screw it tight, releases the gas into the canister. Repeat with another two cartridges. That fills the canister,put balloon over the skinnier end, press the button. enjoy
