Humboldt County: The Mecca that I imagine it is?

I have never been to Northern Cali but I think I found where I want to live. Is the heady bud really so plentiful? If so, why doesn't every pot smoker just go there to live?

I would love to move out into the mountains a have a giant grow-op, I know there is some crime there but other then that is there any reason not to pack up my shit and move there immediately?

I guess I should go there and check it out, see what's up.

I've always wanted to go to Alaska.
Beautiful landscape, serenity. Able to be alone. Have a few plants in the house. Maybe some shrooms growin too. Nothing big to attract attention.

I've been considering moving to Northern Cali at some point in my life. But Cali is awfully expensive.

Yeah that's my hold up too, plus all my family is out east so I would be awfully isolated.
At least they pay you to live up in Alaska, and I'm sure the whole legalized pot thing is just to keep people living in the state with the highest suicide rate. I would live up there regardless.

You can get like 150 acres free in Alaska if you use the Homstead Act, as long is its unclaimed federal land I believe. As for Nor Cal I would love to live there but I am not yet a millionaire :mad: and they sweep forests and shit with choppers pretty often, theres a new grow op bust like every week

Well, Alaska would most defiantly be nice, but if I lived in Cali I would have more access  to civilization if I wanted to. I think I might be able to afford a very small house out in the woods in the near future, hopefully.

i lived in humbolt for a minute
its kewl
its not as wild and crazy as its cracked up to be
good times for sure
definitly bud around
but as far as all that other shit, u realy gota know people to be able to get something realy goin
or get to know people
i mean, put all the grandiose fantasys aside and its a realy chill place to live, with lax laws on pot in general and quite a bit of it to go around at decent prices compared to most of the country
but dont expect to move there and feel like a kid in a candy store
but its nice to be able to not hafta wory about findin nug

I'm sorry, but I seriously doubt you can get 150 acres FREE up here!:lol:  Considering some land here is $700,000 for LESS than one acre...I don't think they'll just give it away.  Also, Most other land here is Federal land or else it's owned by Native corporations who just log the land or otherwise exploit it for profit (due to the Alaska settlement act).
