Formulation: Telepathy

After reading the telepathy contest thread, it seems everyone has a different opinion on what telepathy is and can be. Since the contest has ended, I figured a new thread for discussing the topic would be OK.

So let me start by saying I believe in telepathy. Simple as that.
I also believe we shape our beliefs around our experiences.
So, what experiences do your beliefs in telepathy come from?

I'll start off with my own.
I was relatively young, about 16 or so, experimenting with psychedelics. Up until this point I had always been very skeptical. Rejecting anything supernatural, including religion, as it didn't fit what I knew. The world was concrete, defined by laws that could be observed. It was all about to change for me. A friend wanted to hang out and eat some mushrooms. Sure, I'm game. So we end up going to his fathers place, eating our doses, and hanging out. The night was going as usual, tripping out pretty hard, trying to keep quite so his father could sleep. So we decided to try and lay down and be with our thoughts. We turned off the lights, crawled into our respective 'beds', and laid in silence for a while. It soon became apparent though that our thoughts were no longer individualized.

There was a period of confusion in which I tried to differentiate whose thoughts were in my mind at any given time. When that became an impossible task, I started to explore it more. Using a little more force and concentration, I would ask questions. I heard my friend yelp a little, and felt him getting nervous. I mentally asked if he was OK, to which he responded aloud "I'm OK..." Then things kept going on like this. I would communicate with him mentally, and he would respond verbally. Although we seemed to share a mental connection where thoughts were flowing between us, creating a single mind, the ability to create a non-verbal sentence seemed to be solely on my end.

This created an awkward tension between us following the experience. Neither of us wanted to discuss it, for fear that we'd both gone insane. After all, I was skeptical of something that most accept, religion, let alone telepathy. Despite our resistance to talking about the experience, we both knew we wanted to do it again. We made further plans to trip, and suffice it to say, we experienced telepathy yet again. After several experiences of this nature, I finally chalked it up to being a reality.

Throughout the rest of my high school career, I played around with telepathy. I turned inward more than outward, and would press my thoughts onto others when they asked me a question. Generally it aided in communication. They would ask a question, I would think the answer towards them, and then say it. Sometimes I wouldn't finish my verbal answer completely, but they would still understand. This type of thinking slowly faded from existence as I ceased tripping with my telepathic friend. The world started to push the belief in telepathy out of me. I wanted to feel normal again, less crazy, less off. For the most part, I left telepathy in the past. I was done experimenting with it, done testing the boundaries, at least until my next experience.

I have had similar experiences.The first was on rolls with a friend of mine.It went on all night.It was weird he was unable to speak and was almost fading in and out of consciousness,but we were having full conversations.It also freaked me out at first my friend said he had no recollection of it.Which added to my insanity.

The second was on powder MDA (which was very good).I was with friends at a Government Mule show.I took a rather hefty dose and about half way through the first set I blew up very hard and when I cam back to I could hear peoples thoughts.I was stuck in my seat I could not get up could hardly see straight.
Then I noticed someone was answering my thoughts.I looked around and realized it was a close friend of mine.At that point I suddenly felt I could move again and was able to stand.We continued talking all night.About the show and life and how good it was to be alive

The next day I felt like asking my friend about it but was nervous of looking insane.I was at her house and could not stop going over the events that took place the night before trying to make sense of what happen.When out of no where she said she was there and remembers everything.

From that point on I began to hone this ability.I noticed that there are many people that could do this.This was mainly on psychedelics.After a while it began to stick and would happen on occasion off of psychedelics.Then there are some people that are close to me and would be my main group to trip with.With these friends it was like second nature to be able to talk to each other telepathically at any time.Also to add it would only work if we were in close proximity of each other.The farther away they got the harder it was to communicate.

Well that is a few of the many experiences I have had with telepathy.Believe it or not I could care less.I know it happens and that is all that matters. Thanks for reading

Oh and I wanted to add that this happens for me much faster and I pick up on more on MDxx's for some reason.All psychedelics work for me though.

I've had many experiences with psychedelics that have caused me to question the nature of reality by demonstrating that telepathy is possible (or at least the illusion of such is sufficiently convincing.)

This was my second time ever using psychedelics, and I was tripping with a good friend of mine and another friend who remained sober.  There was a distinct pattern of gradually intermeshing "waves" of thought that started to overlap faster and faster until at the peak of the journey the waves merged and mental communication was entirely possible.  I still distinctly recall speaking three words out loud and the rest of the sentence being entirely mentally communicated, and vice versa.  I would mentally ask my friend to say something out loud at a precise point, and this was verified multiple times.  My sober friend confirmed this too, as he had no idea what the hell we were talking about, yet the conversation made perfect sense to us.  After a long period of glorious freedom from the constraints of verbal linguistics, our waves started to separate again and gradually the periods of being able to communicate became less and less frequent until they stopped altogether.

This was just myself and another friend giving Amanitas a try.  A wholly different experience from the HBWR seeds; no feeling of psychedelic waves intermeshing but instead a completely silent mind (almost like meditation) and the ability to carry on a completely normal conversation while entirely in my head.  This was in contrast to the very psychedelic, very trippy conversation I had had during the meteor shower (you know how it goes with heavy psychedelic trips; conversations go on for hours about nature and how life is beautiful, etc etc).  It was more akin to having a normal, regular, face-to-face conversation except it was wholly mental--one of the more reality-shattering events that I've had the pleasure of experiencing.

I've had a few other telepathic experiences, but these two were the major ones.  Each time I empirically verified what was going on multiple times (and in fact probably spent more time being skeptical than enjoying the telepathy itself.)  I've also had success with mixing evocations and invocations with entheogens, but the ramifications of these have gone far beyond mere telepathy.

We are all one being and thus can share a universal consciousness. Telepathy is a form of universal consciousness.

I found out that fully natural telepathic walk among us and they read ours minds 24/7.  I became aware of them when I heard a strange woman from across a bar speaking my entire email address out loud and she then continued to verbalize more of my thoughts out loud.  I quickly realized that there were probably hundreds or thousands or these individuals with in my city alone.  Six months after I became aware of them I started to hear them talking inside my head to my thoughts.  Other people that are in the room who are not telepathic cannot hear them.  But I hear hundreds of these voices commenting on my thoughts each day.  I cannot read anyones mind myself though. I only hear what the telepathic people want me to hear and they won't read people minds for me ( I've tried).  I was wandering though how you mediate or what you do to be able to hear to read people thoughts while your on psychedelic drugs that enables you to become telepathic or to do remote viewing or have an out of body experience?

As I have never really been a fan of the act of verbal communication - my brain moves a lot faster than I can speak it most of the time, and my vocabulary seems to be cut in quarter. Plus, words just don't always do it justice.. Telepathy is my main form of communication. There is just so much more that can be conveyed, beyond words: Feelings, images.. the whole phrase 'walk a mile in someone elses shoes"... yeah..

I've had lost of experiences but I don't know what to classify them as - I suppose they were more precog than telepathy although it kinda overlaps as we don't know what processes are underlying the results.

The only drug that has given me telepathy is ketamine.  It happened twice with 2 separate people.  It was very strange.  Afterwards we joked about having plugged a usb lead into each other.

My experiences were "Au Nautral". This is the first time I have heard mention of " . . . fully natural telepathic walk among us and they read ours minds 24/7.".

And you can accept that I have been searching for years.

Most of my experiences with others have been in the 'natural state' as well, if you can call it that.
I just relate that LSD and to another extent, mushrooms.. at least for me... seems to "open those doorways" wide open.
A close friend and I used to practice telepathy with one another quite frequently.. then I started running into people who were clearly telepathic.
Maybe it was that way before, and I just didn't realize it.

Let’s say I use “Natural” to denote the absence of helping ingestions That’s all. My period of experience arose from an extended oxidation fast. Lasted several years with residual empathic response continuing.

I also accept clear telepathy  being a natural state, just a little ways retuned from where most others are.
