if you go to www.bigappleherpotology.com(i think thats the site) you can see good ones for reptiles..... elektrik and stuff. costs a pretty penny but Very Very nice equipment cheaper then most places.

I have one of those humidor hygrometers and i've noticed it takes a pretty good amount of time for it to go back to ambient. Maybe yours just takes a long time too.

I think I know the humidty guage your talking about (big round and brass?) the are accurate within -+5% above 80` and -+10% above 90`. So your 95% himidity could have in actuality been only 85%, and without calibration it may have been off more than that even.

Walmart sells and awesome one for about $25.00. It's made by BIONAIRE. It reads temp and humidty, temp within 1degree and relative humidity to within 1-2%. It reacts really quickly too, highly reccomended.
