i've got a 360.. it's a badass system when it wants to work.

never had any problems with my wii and have a lot more fun with it.

depends how you are going to do the majority of your gaming.  if you wanna be online multiplayer, go 360.  if you are solo, go 360 or ps3.  if you are playing at home with other people, go wii or 360.

that's what i would do.

I've often heard the PS3 referred to as a Blue ray player with gaming capability.

i have both, and i gotta say i use my ps3 more. when it comes to games, both have EXCELLENT games, with EVEN MORE EXCELLENT GRAPHICS, they both are at about the same level at the moment, but i feel that when developers really start to see what they can do with a game on a blu-ray as opposed to standard formats currently used, the PS3 will far surpass any experience possible on the 360. however when it comes to hardcore online gamers, the 360's track record is sterling. good connectivity, and a lack of cheaters/glitchers etc...make XBox Live nearly perfect for online games. Dont get me wrong, ps3 has great online play as well,(AND CAN YOU SAY FREE?), but does have its fair share of the afforementioned cheaters/glitchers which make it kinda tough to PWN bitches when some fuck thats invisible kills you from across the map with a fully automatic, recoilless sniper rifle (lol). But thats not to say PSN is flooded with hackers, i can go weeks without an obvious incident of cheating. in addition to the games, youve got ur music, pix, movies, internet browser, blu-ray/dvds, and it just feels next-gen. what i mean by that is just that i can see the ps3 being the centerpoint of my entertainment center for the next 5 years at least, the 360's on its way out the door...

i got a ps3. its just plain badass.

the 360 has to fork over shit tons of money to get 2 week exclusivity on release dates and updates... whatever.

the 360 has totally blown its load already. they bought up game exclusivity right away and now have about a 1:10 ratio of game exclusivity against the ps3.
this christmas everyone is getting a ps3 or wii.

it really comes down to what you find more admirable in a company in terms of business philosophy. Microsoft is a western company with western philosophy and Sony is an eastern one.

western philosophy is very american... i want it now. forget the future, lets see what is the best for this moment in time.

eastern is very patient... for example Kodak sued Fuji films at one point because Fuji was selling cameras and film at lower than what it cost them to make it.... so for years Fuji was taking huge financial losses so that in the end, they became a household name and an integrated product with customer loyalty.

plus the 360 has way too many 8 year olds.

PS3 hands down.  I turned mine into a computer.  I have a backup computer more powerful than most computers with linux installed, a blue ray player, and a way to play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games all for $600?  Yeah... I think so.
