I've been about that guy since day one, he's just phenomenal, and when you consider the damage that he did during the steroid era, being clean, it's even more so.

But he is a trip.

Yeah I remember Manny when he was in Cleveland. He is a great player but his attitude and motivation is always questionable. His postseason performance was amazing despite the rest of his team crumbling

Yeah I dont see anyone giving Manny the longterm deal he will want. I think any team would be making a mistake giving him more than a 3 year deal

Rays win it all so I can feel the pain of having the 4 expansion teams combine for a total of 4 titles in the past 12 years while the Cubs (remember them?) have been around since the dawn of time and can't even get to the fall classic.

That and it's destiny. I said several times here that if the cubs were to meet the Rays, I wouldn't even watch.

Well, they sure saved me that heartache.

I'm not entirely sure a head case like Manny would do well in NY.  Let's not forget, the last 2 1/2 months are not what you always get from Manny.
