That guy lost his daughter right?
I think you should go with him personally. I'm sure he needs a good friend with him (even if you dont know him well). I'm sure he'd greatly appreciate it. Not saying spend every little minute with him but ya know.. Be there for him. Does he have anything else of priceless value... like family/etc?

I dont think the rush addicts anyone, really. I mean that helps but it is daily use, day after day that leads to physical addiction. And trust me when I say that methadone is easy to use, day after day - I worked my white collar job for weeks on it. I didn't suffer any withdrawal type consequences from my few one or two week binges but unrestricted access to any opiate is likely to lead to that.

However, my post above was pertaining to the short term risk. Especially when mixed with alcohol opiates can lead to an early grave if not used carefully. It is not just junkies that croak from ODs. An OD'd  corpse was pulled from my neighborhood just a few weeks ago - by all accounts he was no junkie, just over did it with prescription meds.

But hey, I love em, too so I am not judging, just cautioning.

Lost one of his daughters to a heroin OD. Then his wife left him.

He owns a company.

It does sound though he's super lonely.

I hear ya. I usually only have the equivilant of 3-4 shots, and the max. hydros I took was 8 7.5mgs over the course of the night.

Yeah.
Idk, i'm not a junkie, I was a heroin user using a needle.
But after an 8 month binge, I really find it hard to believe that methadone has already made me forget about heroin... it's odd.
I have no urges to do anything anymore because of it. I have a feeling its to good to be true and when i'm sober of the methadone i'll be craving some more heroin. My friends turned into junkies.... it makes me sad...
Have you ever looked in the mirror and noticed such a significant change in your looks?
Skinnier facial region? Paler? Darker eyes, it's crazy =/.

I'd do it... But than again, I absolutely hate seeing people down. And hell, a weekend to make a man forget about his losses. I'd be down on that offer. I'd feel bad for him paying though...
But hey, seperate bedrooms... He's not after you by the sounds of it. he just sounds like he wants someone to spend time with to help get through his rought time.
