Regardless, the definition of a controlled substance is a substance you need a prescription to buy, not an age limit.

Wikipedia confirms,
"Tobacco, beer, wine, and spirits are explicitly exempt from the Controlled Substances Act."

I'm not sure when Wikipedia became a viable source, but since it's the one you chose let's try the Wiki entry for "Controlled Substance" instead of "Controlled Substance Act", which nobody is fucking talking about anyway.

By that logic, all plant seeds are controlled substances, because their interstate commerce is regulated.  If that's your definition, then yes, alcohol is a controlled substance.  But if that's your deifnition you're also a retarded cocksnogger.

In the drug-aware community, we refer to controlled substances as those things which are regulated by the CSA.
