Wood Smoked Salsa

Just harvested some fresh tomatoes,peppers,and onions from my backyard garden.Next I fire up the grill and smoke all of these veggies with hickory.Then I blend them together and let them marry for a day or two,then I make velveeta smoked salsa cheese dip,O  MY  GOD!

Deeeeelish!:D

I call it hickory smoked chesse dip,some smoked chedder would add some goodness to it,maybe a bit of smoked gouda.  *mouth waters* 

Here is an onion that got about 4 foot,I never saw one do this before.

Sounds pretty sweet. I have a smoker and use it all the time. I have gotten pretty good at it.
I have been messing around with cold smoke temperatures which are around 90 to 100 degrees and it lets me make Lox style salmon, jerky, but next I want to try to smoke cheese or even make bacon from a pork belly.

It is soooooo gooooood!Better than your average salsa.Great for a gift,parties,and housewarmings.Shit,I sound like Martha now!:grin:
