all the mushroom names throw me off, im not sure who named them, even the common names can be a bit confusing.  i thought i knew how to say shiitake until i heard it on tv and i was like wtf! :lol:

no shit i was gonna start a thread exactly the same as this the other day, but completely forgot.
what about trichocereus? i always imagined it to be like rhinocerous with a trike instead of a rye. but then one day i actually said it out loud t myself and thought no way that is right. i looked at it again and imagined it like 'tryko-cerus' saying cerus like cerus peruvianus (if i'm even saying that right lol)
