What's with the anti-DXM sentiments on this forum?

I understand that it's legal status makes it a viable option for younger children looking for a cheap legal high, but there's so much more to it! I mean, extraction and you don't have that big glass of nasty syrup. Too many people get products with DXM and Guistafen or various other active chemicals. I mean, a DXM only product and you're fine!

I just don't feel DXM deserves the bad rep it gets.

I've negver done shrooms or acid so I can't compare it to that. But I 'll do my best to explain. I'm on some now so it should be easiish.

Well, you think you hav eEVERYTHING figured out, like the world. At highter doses I've spoken with God. (As well as Tupac and some dude named Frank). Alot of my spiritual, political and religious beliefs come from experiences with DXM.

While coming up it is easist described as being REALLY drunk. Like, you get drunk, then you pass out. This is like. You get drunk, you DON'T pass out, you stay concious and feel drunker then possible with alcohol. Music sounds sweet and nothing beats cuddlying a kitty.

Almost anything is a step of from nutmeg (though I won't deny it, nutmeg was my first drug experience).

I've never had the desire to try DXM because so many people report feeling mentally impaired for days afterward.

I didn't like it. Felt too drunk and got swollen (must have been allergic to something in the pill). The other time I took it wasn't impressive either.

If I ever take it again, it must be extracted. And I really have no desire to try it again, because those experiences didn't offer anything interesting IMO.

I knew this dude a long time ago and he used to use DXM all the time, he ended up literally losing his mind it was fucked up. He would have hallucinations of shit that wasnt there and freak people out, even when he wasnt on the stuff.

neverneverland: Maybe the reason so many people bash it on here is that so many people have taken mushrooms and cid before. I remember when i was young and just getting into drugs i would try all sorts of stuff, yes ive tried nutmeg:lol:But what im getting at is that once you have taken shrooms or cid you realize what tripping is all about, not robotrippin. Its totally different, once you try either shrooms or cid you probably wont want to take any more DXM.


I know i get spoiled with all the lovely caps, cid, RC's around but back when i was young i didnt care what i was getting high on.

I can't believe you can type on dxm. I used to order the powder online when it was easily available. Maybe I took to much but it seemed to bring me closer to insanity than anything else I have ever took. I remember the first time I got it pure a friend and I both took 500mg a piece and videotaped it. We took turns punching each other in the face for over 30 minutes because it felt good. We looked like shit the next day people thought we had got jumped. We kept taking it for a while but I think it probably causes more longterm bad side effects than other hallucinogens. I started getting anxiety attacks constantly and had never had them before. They went away after a year. I would probably do it again but just to remind me why I don't do it anymore.

P.S.  The tape we made later got confinscated by the police for an unrelated matter. They called my friend and I in for questioning. They couldn't figure out what we had taken and kept asking us all kinds of questions. It was good times.

I had a killer experience the first time I tried DXM--I'm talking better CEVs than I've had on any other psychedelic, and halfway through the trip my mind split up into two halves that proceeded to talk to each other for what seemed like an eternity.  The next two times I tried, though, spacing a month in between and with increasingly higher doses, I got nothing but a weird feeling and then a day-long hangover afterwards.

So many people look down on it because it's basically OTC cough syrup.  You're abusing a pharmaceutical product that was not meant for recreational dosaging, versus taking mushrooms that were specifically grown for tripping.  That being said, it can be a valuable psychological tool at reasonable dosages and if done infrequently.  Abuse seems to lead to memory problems and possibly schizophrenia, though, which is generally not a wanted side effect of a drug.

I still need to try Ketamine one of these days, though. :grin:

I just plain don't like disassociatives... and DXM is like the epitome of that imo.

I've had some fun on it before but it's just not a pleasurable or enlightening experience in my opinion.
You should really try LSD..

But then I went to stand up and throw a tissue out in the middle of one of my classes and knew my first step would be my last so I sat down.

But ya DXM was fun until I almost died from mixing it with seroquil but once you have better drugs there is just no need.

To the OP go online and look up mimosa hostilis root bark buy alot do an extraction and smoke some DMT it is not bad for you and is way better than DXM.

I've done DXM a few times and just really don't enjoy the buzz at all.  Three day hangovers from any drug is just too much if you have to lead any semblance of a normal life.

I enjoy dissociatives, I've had some very good times on ketamine, but DXM is one of my least favorite drugs of the many that I've tried.

the reason you dont understand is cause you havent done mushrooms or LSD yet

and while ive nothing against dxm and like it once in a long while, in crystal form

it feels really dirty, theres too many negative effects on your body, and its just not very fun

it does get you "high" though

not like ive learned anything from it other than how to piss in my vomit cause i cant get up to piss somewhere else.

dxm is godlike. a hidden king among mind altering drugs.

its power to get you fucked up rivals ayahuasca.  i've taken quit a variety of drugs and i consider it number 1.

it is definitely the archetypal drug.  when people who have never gotten intoxicated ever try to imagine what drugs are like, they're imagining DXM.

I've done pure DXM before. It is shit. It's dirty. It is not even in the same league as LSD or mushrooms. It's not even in the same fucking plane of existence as LSD or mushrooms. A DXM trip is absolutely disgustingly sick.

Go try some hallucinogens and then see where you stand.
