Getting a new Tattoo soon and Need Ideas!!!

Ok so my roomate has decided that he is getting his first tattoo in the upcoming month or so...and he wants me to get one at the same time, as sort of a ritualistic, blood brothers type deal...and because I've been meaning to get another one for awhile...

He's getting an armband design, some germanic or viking type design...not really my thing...

this is my first tattoo...

I would prefer to get it on my other shoulder since I intend to work in a Nuke Plant after I graduate and need to be able to hide it and I am saving my back for a special Tattoo thats still in development :wink:

So I need you guys to help me out, suggest some things, post pics, whatever you wanna do. I need some inspiration...and i love trippy art just for the record :mushroom2: Any help is greatly appreciated :thumbup:

Let me start off by saying nice tattoo, i really like the style of art work and it looks clean and crisp.  I'm gonna be tat'n up a friend soon, he wants his last name done in the dethklock font.  I designed him something that looks fucking awesome unfortunately I'm not around a scanner now. But this pic is what it was based off of.
I had to make up a few letters that fit into the dethklock style, and also instead of the circle in the tribal style work underneath dethklok, he wanted a shamrock.  I had to simplify the tribal aspect a little bit, other wise it looked cluttered.  He wants it black with white highlights, opposed to the metallic style in the pic.  Honestly i liked the way the drawings have turned out and have considered something similar for a back or leg tattoo.  Its kinda like a family crest in a way, which is why i think its a good suggestion  Just be sure to ask yourself , will you feel the same way about the tattoo you want ,a year from now, 10 years from now.  I

Isn't the idea to get SOMETHING tattooed, not a TATTOO of something. :shrug:

Anyway, check out some biomechanic tats, they would go well with your first piece.

Yeah man real nice tatt. Got 2 and designing a bigger one for the future.
Will be like a bat/bird creature with circuit/bio-mechanical insides with some lyrics in the bones.

Yeah I'd go for bio-mechanic type stuff as well. I'm a big fan of it.
Heaps better than the tribal stuff every one gets now days!

I'm about to get "Pelvis Of Doom" tattooed on my stomach soon. I have a couple other phat tats. But this next one is gonna be my favorite.

Nah, no tats yet, was close to getting a half-sleeve two years ago, but backed out. I'm glad I did, it wasn't well construed.

It's pretty straightforward you tit. What I'm saying is that for me, the idea is not about getting a tattoo for the sake of it, it's about getting something that means a lot to you tattooed on your body.
