Coloured contact lenses

The other night me and my friends were discussing coloured contact lenses. Then I thought about how handy this might be for tripping around places where you don't want to give away the fact that you're tripping hard. With coloured contacts on, your pupils would appear to stay the same size, even at night when your pupils dialate to let in more light. This could disguise the dinner plate pupils when needed, but how effective would this be? Would the contacts get in the way of the extra light that your pupil is trying to let in? I'm not sure how they work. But if one got a pair, wore them for a while to get used to them, and then did a trip with them on, it could ease a lot of the paranoia that you get from running into parents, police, anti drug losers and so on. And it could be quite cool looking in the mirror when you have red contact lenses on Any thoughts on this?

Well I have had the thought of the lenses but not as a cover for the pie eyes... Good call. Are you talking about the plastic Acuvue flex.or the custom glass kind?

my friend has colored lenses...the only problem he says is when your pupils are dilated you can see the color of the lense...so you may see a red haze (if they are red lenses) other than that no probs

I wear contact lens and this RIDICULOUS thought has come into my mind more than once...
Lens are on the part of the eye taht actaully protrudes out (YES THEY DO ) and it doesn't have any effect on the pupil. The ones Manson wears are perfect. But I think the effect that he is going for is the insane-mad hatter-from -the 18th-century-trippy look. Still, all in all, just buy a pair of cheap sunglasses; so dark that no one knows your name..................

In many places sunglasses are more conspicuous than big pupils.

I have a pair of wolf eye theatrical contacts and a pair of black light reactive ones. If I am at a party or out dancing, I can get away with wearing them, though the blacklight ones are really creepy for other people. The wolf eyes are just a touch of weird and I could probably get away with those in public public if I am trying to hide dilation.
I agree with others here when they say you can see the edges of the contacts and it can be distracting. And if you are prone to paranoia, everyone _will_ be looking at you if you have theatrical lenses in and that can put you way over.
sorry, I rambled.
Good luck
