Outdoor Advice..update.

Good day all..I rarely find the need to post anything here, but I find no info on my problem...there is an outdoor bed i saw in my dream..prepared via MOE tek...composted horse poo and four freshly colonized jars. This was done close to a monthe ago and there is no fruiting taking place. The weather in my dream is quite cold in the evening (55-65 F) and warms up to about 80 F during the day. The bed was uncovered for the first 3 weeks then a plastic material was placed over it to preserve humidity....out of curiosity, the bed was poked with a stick to find that it is healthy and plentiful myc beneath the surface...

There was also another bed prepared 1 month ago from taking the composted leaves and, whatever mater, straight from the ground in a wooded area. This was collected in bucket and wetted well. It was then dumped into a pile on the ground and mixed with a colonized gulf coast jar. I found this morning that this neglected pile was fruiting nicely :ooo:

and the prepared beds still show no activity

would it be beneficial to dig up the bed (ie just take the composted poo out of the 6" hole and pile it above the ground), or do you think it should be left alone...I'm worried that the temp in this area will soon be too cold and that these beds will yield nothing...any comments/suggestion always apprreciated

mycelia will produce fruits when conditions become unfavorable for further vegatative growth, ex, food runs out, temperatures become too low... Anyhoo, the neglected patch ran out of food, so it fruited. Sounds like the other patch still has food available, and is growing quite well. It it dosn't run out of food soon, the upcoming cold waether should cause fruiting.

sounds like a reasonable assumption.....guess i'll just let em go and see what happens...I'll post some pics tomorrow if I can get my frickin digi cam workin!
