Rescuing a neglected dog
    #8656366 -

So, I have a friend who is living in a house with 2 other guys.
One of them own this dalmation.  He is irresponsible and goes on ridiculous coke binges every once in a while.
The dalmation, Duke, has fleas so bad that he's missing most of the fur on his back and you can see fleas crawling on him.
His nails are so long he walks with a limp, and all his nails point to the side now.
They never let him outside, every time I get there, he is walking around crying, and I let him out and he takes epic pisses.
He's such a sweet dog, he just follows me around looking at me with incredibly sad eyes.
I can't stand it.  I'm in between breaking in when no one is there and dognapping him, or calling the SPCA or something.
Who do I call to report a neglected dog?  The SPCA?  Will they rescue him?

edit- the dog didn't even have a bed until some girls came into town to visit my friend.  They felt so bad for him they bought him a bed.

You don't need to drill a lot of holes.  Some growers choose to fan several times per day instead.

Clean him up and take him yourself? If not the SPCA would defiantly go after something like that. The owner will probaly get charged with animal cruelty though fyi.

Your description of that dogs living conditions made me sick.  Please do something.  That dog is begging you to help it find a better life.

He deserves it.
They're behind on rent, because they do so much coke, so they can't afford flea treatment or anything for him.
He keeps talking about paying off the rent and then boarding the dog at the vets for a few days to get rid of the fleas.  This is a fucking pipe dream though, I've seen this dog in worsening condition over the past month, and I'm tired of it.
I'm pretty sure animal cruelty is a felony in the Commonwealth, but if he's going to be taking care of a life as sweet and loving as this dalmation is, he should be taking better care of it, instead of blowing all his money on getting high.

True that and if you really wanted to after a while once the SPCA takes care of him you could adopt :P I'm sure that dog would give you much love since you know him so well.
