Weird timing for this thread... I was just in the car with a co-worker and she was playing Tech Nine... I never really heard them, but I told her they were meh...

I like some 'gangsta' rap, but they sounded like every other shitty rap outfit. Nothing to make them stand out.

im down with tech. hes got some badass lyrics, not to mention badass beats. i live close to KCMO so its everywhere. a friend of mine who makes beats was walking around the plaza in KC and some dude was sellin CDs. they got to talking, my friend told him bout making beats and whatnot (he sells them, sold some to sage francis, and possible working with ant from atmosphere) they exchanged numbers and ended up hanging out. turns out this guy is one of tech n9ns friends. so he ended up hanging out with all of them in the studio, tech included, smokin a bunch of weed and they all rapped over his beats.

lucky mofo. that would have been a cool ass experience.
