OK so I was thinking that most video game to film transitions are atrocious. What i do think though is that some games would make excellent CGI films.

What games do you think would make for some excellent CGI based films? Doesn't necessarily have to be gritty but can be if you want. I was thinking Metroid would be pretty awesome, Halo would be pretty slick, Half Life 2 would be sweet! I'd like to see Zelda CGI'd but am worried that even then they'd ruin my favourite franchise!

any other geeks out there? :nerd:

I'd watch a starcraft movie, but that's about it.  I don't really do video games.

I think tenchu would make an excellent action movie. Mass effect might be good too.

not cgi... but i always though a real life megaman movie would look deadly. special effects could be extreme! boss battles would be epic too.

aw man really wanna buy a NES and relive the memories!

Ha Megaman 2 would be awesome! or should I say Mega?!! The Flash Man level would be crazy good for CGI effects or whatever! Did you ever see the original box art for NES megaman? bizarre, just bizarre. Megaman's always sort of been a robot boy, but the box art has him as some tough-ass mid 30 YO guy who looks like he badly needs a to take a poo.

I've never played Tenchu but i've seen it in action, stealth ninja action FTW!

the thing i was thinkig about with the diablo game is the three prime evils and all that mumbo jumbo.  gotta kill the demons and then use there organs to make uber Tristram :lol:  i dunno but if it was done right theres a good movie in there between wirts leg and cows carrying pitch forks
