i just can't really dig rre

i mean, i can listen to them if it's being played, but i would never put them on or go out of my way to see them

too much like nickle creek, but less poppy.  they're all talented, but it's just not my favorite newgrass

saw 'em last year at a celtic festival in glasgow in a 1200+ capacity venue, where the crowd was less than 100 middleaged to older scottish people sitting up front in folding chairs.  plus a handful of hobos dancing all around in the aisles spinning glowsticks n that good stuff.  ripped a hit of some USA nugs in the bathroom.  i had to leave early but heard afterwards that the locals got into it towards the end.

a band that jams is a band that jams and that's more than enough for me

Dude. They rule. I jog to them all the time. Ive only seen them once, though. Gonna see them for a second time at Rothbury.

The first time I saw them we got shut out of a KW show we should have know was gonna sell out, and RRE was in town at a nice small place. So we went there. At one point my wife broke one of my joints in half and almost ate it thinking it was a mushie stem. I should have put joints and shrooms in seperate bags. We got pretty drunk and pretty high and it was a beautiful night.

Edit..you should check out Cornmeal.

RRE is great.  I used to see them at a little joint in Chicago but they have since outgrown that place unfortunately.  I look forward to seeing their late night set at Rothbury and I'm curious to hear their new album that just came out.
