Michigan Morel Find?

Hey, Ive been looking around for any kind of fungi I can find, its been good weather lately but I havent found anything of interest, until today. I was walking around near a golf course when I found a small hedge like inlet, here I saw what I think is a morel, however it is a bit misshapen. The cap instead of going straight up, goes up for about an inch and half and then extends out in front. Ive been told it may be a half-free morel? My main question would be is this safe to eat? *cooked of course*


PS. There were some, for lack of a scientific name, rolley-poleys crawling around when I cut it in half, does this mean anything?

It is a morel.Rinse off the bugs.Cook the morel.Eat the morel.

I'd soak it in cold water for a half hour or so before cooking it.
