Martha Dripping?
    #8440633 -

So i have a martha set up with a cool mist inside the martha on the top shelf and am just seeing my first pins on my casings. I had a cake in there that just finished its first flush. My problem is the coolmist is causing droplets of water to form on my wire shelving which then drips onto my casings below. I let them dry a little last night and they look ok today but they just started pinning and i want to make sure this doesnt keep happening. I have a timer (full day 15 min cycle). I was wondering if i should put the coolmist on the timer to tone down the amount of water its putting out? I know a lot of people are using short cycle timers for this but i have yet to find one cheap enough to justify the purchase.

1. How do i stop the dripping?
2. Can you recommend a timer setting for a day cycle timer?
3. Recommended short cycle timer?

Thanks!

What id do is put the coolmist on the outside. Then cut a hole in the closet and use aluminum foil(im sure you have plenty)to make a tube and use ducktape and tape it around the mister were it sprays and the closet. But a temporary fix is to put the mister on the floor and on your bottom shelf get something solid that covers the whole shelf that way the mister is spraying only the bottom shelf and it only drips below not on top. Also dont forget to poke holes and a tray underneith the closet to catch the water or it will fill up and flood your room.Plus its not a good idea to have stagnat water in there.I dont know what type of timer your talking about but I run it 1hour on 1hour off.I have the type of timer that you lift the tabs for every 15 minutes.

Oh yeah I almost forgot if you do decide to leave the mister in the closet take off the filter and use a long peice of aluminum foil and wrap it around the filter and cut a square hole in the closet.Put the foil on the outside so it draws fresh air in.That keeps it drier as well

I would recommend doing an external setup like the above poster. You keep you constant FAE, humidity stays at 95%+, and you can run it 24/7 with no worries of excess moisture building up and leaking on the floor below your martha.

You could also try putting your coolmist on the bottom shelf.

If you put your coolmist in the closet, you're going to need a short-cycle timer. You only need it to run it for a few minutes at a time.
