plastic cups?

i saw these plastic cups at the store and they are about 6 oz. im testing them as jar substitutes, because they are smaller around like the tin half pint jars. think this will work better or colonize faster?

I don't know if they'll work any better, but if you can sterilize them without melting them, they should be fine.

After a peroid of time plastic will get scratches in them making viewing and sterilization tough . Also as mentioned above , melting is definetly a problem .
Do you live in decent size city ?
There are lots of places that carry jars .
If you can not find them localy go to doitbest.com , they have all types and sizes , but cost more due to shipping , so look around your area first .
Dollar stores are great , I got mine at 'big lots" AKA "macfrugals" 12 for 6$

i have jars, i can get jars...i just saw these and they were like 50 cents for two so i figured id give it a shot cuz i was wanting to experiment with different sized jars because i heard that those tall half pint jars colonized faster due to being smaller around
