I cant find any hydrated lime with a low magnesium content locally, and it was reccommended on here that i order through doitbest.com, but they dont list the mineral contents, so which one should i buy?
Encap LLC Fast acting lime http://doitbest.com/Lawn+fertilizer+and+rose+and+garden+fertilizer-Encap+LLC-model-10484-63-doitbest-sku-740630.dib
Hoffman hydrated lime http://doitbest.com/Lawn+fertilizer+and+rose+and+garden+fertilizer-Good+Earth+Horticulture-model-15105-doitbest-sku-739598.dib
Also is there any particular gypsums to avoid, cause doitbest only sells one brand of horitcultural gypsum (Lily miller). http://doitbest.com/Mulches+and+Peat+Moss-Good+Earth+Horticulture-model-17005-doitbest-sku-755383.dib

I believe it's the second one, Hoffman. I have read many places that you should look for the words "sweetens soil".
Wait for another opinion on this though, because I could be wrong.

Yup, Hoffman's lime is the one you want. Not sure about the first one. Lots of people on here use Hoffmans. Be careful though, the recipe for one brand of lime may differ for another brand, they vary in strength I guess. I use RR's casing recipe so I specifically searched out which brand he used, which turned out to be Hoffmans. Once I stopped making it too wet by overspraying it worked great
I dont use that brand of gypsum, but ive seen others use it and recommend it. When the small bag I got runs out I'll probably grab the Lily brand myself.

I've heard many people recommend the Hi-Yield brand and it is the one I use.

Hoffmans hydrated lime is great. It's what I use. The hi-yield also is a good product. As long as it's horticultural hydrated lime, it's all good. RR
