I experienced a 6.8 quake in 2001. 32 miles deep. There was actually waves in the ground. 45 seconds long. FUN.

I think. And i cant imagine twice as stong as 6.8.

My grandparents actually were living in Aptos during that '89 quake, essentially right above the epicenter. They had these great big windows looking down the foothills of the santa cruz mountains.......needless to say, they were gone after that quake.
