Well my argument above is simply about the comment that someone made about how we were worse than the Nazi's with regards to killing native americans. which I have shown to be patently false

Yes I was surprised that some Austrian paper had the balls to claim that this type of thing should be happening somewhere else and not in Austria. Im just a realist, people are so concerned with being politically correct these days. The truth is, is that many Austrians were Nazi supporters, this is a fact. Therefore it is not surprising to me that the kids of such people might grow up a bit fucked up. Not that I am saying thats what caused this guy to do that, I am merely pointing out that it is shocking to me that an Austrian newspaper thinks Austria is the prime example of civility

As for being a racist? Racist against who? The race of Austrians?

You guys need to find other information than Wikipedia. I could go on that site right now and edit whatever I wanted onto a page... how exactly is that valid information?

Wikipedia isn't even accepted as a source at all in colleges anymore, they have to make their own wiki pages for shit.

If it was printed in a local paper in like some suburb town, then I'm not surprised that they're showing a little outrage about this. I'd expect the same from any small town newspaper.

Yea and it would get changed back pretty quickly. A study showed that wikipedia was almost as accurate as an encyclopedia, more accurate with regards to science articles.

Are you implying there are falsehoods in what I posted, if so what do you find to be false or unreasonable?

Just because it isn't "scholarly" doesn't mean that it isn't a good source for information. You need to get off your high horse, they're pretty good at sourcing and editing out unsourced information.

It's finals week, and trust me that's EXACTLY what that means when you're writing term papers.

It's not a good source by definition of good source vs. bad source lined out from my first basic English classes at this University.

Sure it's fine to look up something or especially a particular subject you know nothing about to get a feel for what the issue is. As far as accepting everything you read as fact or as the only side of an issue you just can't do that with Wikipedia. What IS great about Wikipedia is usually through some investigation and following sources you can end up with the original studies or schools of though that what you're reading was derived from.
