The Pixies are great but I don't think there's any reason to compare them to Sonic Youth. The Pixies didn't release the mediocre records that SY have but they never released any thing as good as Sister or BMR or EVOL either (imo). To me closer to the truth is that early Dinosaur is like a superior version of the Pixies. I love the Pixies though...

I love Pixies, but I vehementlyu disagree, although all SY starts to sound the same after a while

Pixies are on of those bands that I love, but are far from my favorite, and yet get a disproportionate amount of plays

I like both the Pixies and Sonic Youth a lot.

I bought the game Rock Band recently, and was stoked they have Wave of Mutilation on there.
