Oregon, Maine, or Washington?

I'm moving at some point and while I was really hung up on the idea of going to Portland (Oregon), I'm having second thoughts now.

I love Portland, the people, the progressive vibe of the city, but it's starting to seem a bit too trendy to me. As much as I enjoy all the interesting and fascinating people there. A part of me wants to see some down to earth/simple folk.

Anybody who has done some traveling or lives in either Oregon, Washington, or Maine. I'd love to hear your thoughts about why which state is favorite.

Sitka, AK.... Eugene is nice.... i dunno man im trying to move out to Oregon some point this year as well... hopefully at the end of the summer, trying to go up to AK to work summer doing some fish processing and maybe get down there. I dont know about Maine, it might possibly be cheaper. There are nice places everywhere though.... Maybe check out Idaho... Sitka is super chill some of the best surfing in North America.. beautiful country... best seafood.. and lots of hot russian girls since it used to be the russian capital of alaska.

Washington and Oregon are pretty much the same. I would never live in Oregon just for the fact that I can't pump my own gas. Maybe you should consider Vancouver Wa. You don't have to pay state income tax in Wa and you can drive right across the border and buy things tax free because of Oregon's lack of a sales tax.

Portland is where I plan on moving but just remember, it rains ALL THE TIME. I'm not talking a 15min drizzle every day, I mean heavy rain for like 6 months straight. You get like 3 nice months out of the year. Even at that you have the occasional shower.

Maine sucks
I live in NH and I go to Maine all the time and all their is there is broke hicks that kill people
per capita Maine has the highest murder rate. Weird hu
That state is very very poor
only think good about it is their drug laws

OREGON, portland is awesome. you can go to the ocean, or go to the mountains. mt hood isnt too far away. you can drive up to timberline lodge and have a lot of fun. its so beautiful there.

you can look out from timberline and see the sisters (mountains in the middle and south oregon.) its crazy

You are one hour from the coast, and one hour from the mountain. You don't have to live in WA and when I lived on the East coast was more fucked up then when I lived in the south
