Tatoo Suggestions

So I'm gonna get my first tattoo.  It's gonna be either on my ankle or on one of my shoulder blades.

I'm not gonna just get one of the "from the book" tattoos, I think I would kill myself if I ever saw some other guy with the same tattoo I have.  I want it to be trippy in some way, like some infinite pattern type of thing. Right now I'm leaning towards some sort of indigenous design kind of thing, but I'm open to possibilities.  All I really know for sure is that I want to mark my body in some permanent fashion.:lol: Anything you guys can suggest would be appreciated.

Whatever I do decide on though, I'm going to alter it a bit and make it my own before I go in to the tattoo place.  That way I can be assured of my own tattoo's uniqueness.

It took me 5 years of looking for a picture or design that i liked enough to tattoo on me. I ended up getting a Marine Corps tat on my right bicep, and a lion on my left bicep. I found the lion design from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time books. The White Lion of Andor.
