Drugs on the Dancefloor -- your review of drugs and what they did for you.

MDMA, Weed, Speed, Shrooms, Coke, GHB, Ketamine.. Many drugs are used on the dancefloor, be it raves, reggae, dance parties, goatrance and whatnot.

What are your personal experience with certain drugs and types of music? The night of your life or a vomitorium? Which did you like and which did you hate? Also include how it felt after!

I seem to be best on nothing or just a few beers.

Although some pills can be really amazing for music and dancing.

Taking shrooms at concerts is fun for me as long as its not a huge dose.

I usually start doing this really weird mushroom dance where I just slide all over the place and "feel the energy." So basically it makes me look really weird but I couldn't be happier.

I don't dance but MDMA makes me melt and shake loose.

coke and ketamine just make me violent.

weed, mdma, and lsd make me appreciate music and get rid of my social inhibitions which aren't really existant but I just simply "melt" and chat away.

I don't really do drugs at bars / concerts other than mdma sooo *shrugs*

Weed: barely move - sit and appreciate in awe
Mushrooms:
-low dose: dance like a maniac
-high dose: no movement
MDMA:
-Ecstasy: dance like a maniac (i've been nicknamed Jackrabbit Johnson)
-molly: moderate dancing

MDMA pretty awesome at raves.
Number one for people who don't like tripping.

Don't do it much any more as it makes me sick, and the magic is gone :frown:.

LSD = the daddy of rave drugs(for me), turns the evening into a whole story
LSD + Ketamine = Even better than LSD on its own, if your into ketamine
LSD + Ketamine + MDMA = Even better than the above
LSD + Ketamine + MDMA + Weed + Nitrous = no alternatives really :laugh:


Not a big fan of amphetamines/speed, but can go well on smaller doses.

In the early day of raves ('91-'92) I was going to lots of them.  I also had LSD flowing like water in those days.  I would often dose large amounts and dance for hours and hours.  Sometimes the next day I would be in pain as if I had run a marathon the night before.  But the dancing was never any more fun then on those wonderful nights!  I'd just lose myself for hours, often unaware of those around me.  During moments of clarity it was funny to look around and see how many others were also lost in the moment.

Those were the days before Candy-Kids and E-tards.  We were just a bunch of drugged up people in a warehouse dancing to this new style of music that only had one name...techno.  Too often the cops ruined our fun back then, but we were good at spur-of-the-moment moves to another location.  Sometimes a rave would travel to several locations in a single night.

I miss those days. :sad:

weed at reggae parties is great, it makes me stop caring what other people think of how i am dancing which makes me just let loose and dance the night away.
shrooms are fucking amazing with just about any music i just love all the crazy dance moves i come up with that i would never be able to think of when am sober.
overall i am not a dancer unless i am fucked up or tripping which is too bad because it can be some of the best memories or lack of lol.
never had the chance to do any other drugs really but i am open to almost anything.

Used to use a lot of MDMA until I ran out of steam. Then I discovered 2-CB and I wish I had a lot sooner. I would advise anyone out there to get off molly and on the bee, if you hate nasty comedowns and gurnfaces and love sexy, body highs. Can get a little perplexing at higher doses, though, apparently...I've seen people properly confounded by very basic things. They seem to be perfectly comfortable, but just don't know what the feck is going on. Doesn't happen to me; I can take it at stupidly doses, and it just sort of saturates after a certain point. I think everyone has one drug that does that, and that's mine. Everything else other than alcohol fecks me up. I'm a lightweight.

I like to bump K in the mornings when I'm tired and near the end of my rope. Takes the edge off and makes things feel ridiculous, and I can still enjoy the music...albeit in a different way. Helps me to unwire, and usually I can get a decent sleep after that.

I don't fecks with speed/coke/pills or weed on the dancefloor, except weed edibles for the right vibe. Odd dancefloor dose of acid is nice, but I make sure and day-trip on that, because I need to be fully awake and not get tired halfway into that 8 - 12 hour trip, because once that happens, and I start feeling like I don't want to trip anymore and go to bed, but have to endure another 4 - 6 hours, that's usually when things get unpleasant. I do a very pleasant lack of memories from candyflipping in the past!

I haven't tried many other things, but there are a multiplicity of other experimental psychedelics which I've seen either go very right or very wrong, usually the latter and for stupidly long durations. One guy couldn't eat or drink for a day or two without everything, including water, tasting horrible. He did not enjoy that at all.
