Rome: Total War
Medieval II: Total War

I mostly play Counterstrike Source, in fact I'm hopelessly addicted. Its as addictive as WOW, but doesn't make you physically repulsive in the same way WOW does.

Also I second COD4. Fucking epic.
Quake 4 was good for shooting the shit out of everything

I haven't tried quake 4 yet. I'm getting COD4 now. Baldurs gate is pretty kickass too.

Yes COD4 is pretty awesome.
Might want to check out Bioshock if you haven't yet.
Definitely check out Oblivion with mods if you haven't yet.
