Buzzing HPS????

Is a 250w HPS light supposed to make a buzzing sound when its on, it buzzes when it starts, then stops for a few minutes, then it starts buzzing again and doesn't stop.

I can't tell if it's the lamp/connection or the ballast.

Any help?

It's kinda loud also, not like you can hardly hear it

no it shouldnt buzz
a slight hum and a few clicks when starting up but you know the difference between a hum and a buzz

the latter will stop if you move it around

mine used to do the same
