this thread is somewhat self-validating, and somewhat self indulging, but im going to make it anyways.
I consider myself a capatalistc nomad in nature, i love to travel, and to work as little as possible to obtain the moneys and means for that travel. Occasionally im able to put highly profitable deals together. today, one of those deals worked out.
3 weeks ago i won a poker game (about $100) and bought a lcd tv that a friend had for sale with my winning money.
then i traded that lcd tv, and $100 for a old beat up car.
then i sold that beat up car for $800.
walked away with enough money to travel off to the west coast and live there for a while
sweet sunny California, and your snow covered mountains, here i come!

zippoz "in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption" "People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."

More power to you. Do what makes you happy.
We should all be so lucky.

I remember a story I was told once upon a time about a red paperclip. A man had this paperclip and he traded someone his paperclip for something of slightly more value. A pen, for instance. Then he took the pen and traded it for a notepad. With every single trade, he would gain a new item of a slightly increased value, and continue upwards.
His last trade was for a sweet house with a pool or something equally incredible. The guy actally wrote a book about it and called his book The Red Paperclip. I think I saw it on some talkshow or something.
Crazy.
