I need help from all the contact wearing potheads

SWIM just got contacts. SWIM smokes pot. SWIM uses visine to get the red out so people don't know he is high. SWIM was told not to use visine with his contacts. What does he do?

You have two choices:

Forget what people think OR dont get high around people you feel uncomfortable looking stoned around.

I wear contacts and smoke weed and unfortunately there is nothing i can do to prevent the red eyes, i just learned to deal with it! :jointsmile:

I have the one week contacts that only get used for two weeks. I use visine whenever I want with them and have never had a problem, but they are getting thrown out in two weeks anyway.

Yeah, a lot of people I know who smoke just use Visine and find it refreshing. And yes, they do have Visine for contacts.

Visine for contacts isn't quite the same thing as regular visine. The Visine contacts is for rewetting and lubricating your contacts. It is contact lens relief, not get the red out. I have used the Visine for contacts before too and it doesn't really do anything for redness.

What blissed does is first blissed gets some saline solution and drops a few drops in each eye. Then blissed drops 2 drops of visine in each eye. It helps blissed keep his contacts from getting dried out by the visine when it's diluted with saline.:smile2:

I have contacts and somehow I never get red eyes. I always thought it was attributed to my contacts, but I guess not.

Just use the Visine and the contacts anyway, I always used to do that, doesn't seem to affect the contact if you ask me.

actually visine is pretty shitty for your contacts. This was more true back before the days of disposables. Repeated use of visine in "permanent" (IE 6 month or longer lenses) will yellow and warp the contact lens.

If you're wearing disposables you'll most likely get rid of the contact before any serious damage occurs, but it's still not good for them. If anything carry a small bottle of saline, a lens case, and take your contacts out. Then just drop your eyes, wait a few moments, and put the contacts back in.

If you're just wanting to wake and bake then eat breakfast, then get stoned, drop in visine, eat breakfast, then put in your contacts.

OH and having contacts is a good excuse if someone says anything about your eyes... Just say "oh I'm just getting used to these things" or say "the wind blew dust in my contacts a couple minutes ago"

Take your contacts out and put em back in just for visine? No thanks...

Never noticed a problem using regular visine with my disposables.

I don't get red eyes much. Still get pupil dilation, so even if you can get rid of red eye, how do you deal with that?

It's hard to do, but just act confident, like eating doughnuts and listening to sgt. peppers whilst sitting on a beanbag is a normal thing to do. I gave up booze, but I still smoke pot. When I do, I remain quiet, don't kick up a fuss. If I'm drunk, I'll sing, bump into things and be sick, so the worst I'll get if high is a few giggles.
