Listen to people, i think one of the first things I tried was a cigarette, then alcohol, weed, lsd (once), then dxm..I did lsd a few more times when I was 19-20 years old... I never even tried mushrooms until i was 22.
But when I was 24 I went to raves for a month period where i was doing lsd every weekend.

yum tobacco. smoking in moderation is key. tobacco sort of has a acquired taste but once you start tasting it it's oh so delicious. it's like a strong robust perfume. i find that if you buy packs you'll just keep on buying them. but with roll your own you just roll one when you want.

Smoking is generally a bad idea. But don't buy the hype from all the whiny "helpless smokers" out there who would give anything if they could only quit. Any of you people would quit right now if you REALLY WANTED TO. The fact is you still reap enough pleasure from your habit to continue and you haven't created enough of an incentive in your life to quit. Even the fuckers with holes punched in their trachea so they can keep going, even those idiots still have the choice and the ability to quit, but at that point smoking is so entrenched in their lives that their attachment is a real bitch.

People on this forum especially should know what the tools are to quit a habit. You have to disrupt your routine enough that the smoking ritual loses its hold. Try changing your diet, sleep schedule, and the times you choose to smoke for a week then at the end of that week eat some psychadelic. There are plenty of things you can do to get that monkey off your back but you have to be willing to abandon your comfort scheme for a bit. The next time you crave a smoke, wait thirty seconds. If you still crave it, wait thirty seconds. Quit pretending like you're powerless. Can you really not stop a behavior?

quitting smoking is actually pretty hard, i've smoked a solid 3 years which for one year consisted of non-filters, but its all about self-will. i quit a week ago, i'll probably not smoke for a few months or something, then have one- if i want. all you have to do is keep it off your mind, most of it is just lighting it up, sticking it in your mouth, inhaling smoke to pleasure your lungs, and watching fluffy clouds of smoke pour out. the physical withdraw part i didn't find too bad, it was mostly gone after about a week.

Don't start. As a former smoker of 25+ years, I can tell you that it's expensive, it smells like shit and it's probably one of the worst things you can do to your health.

wow, ive cut down a lot though, i only smoke a few a day, but i still smoke the ganja. But 25 years plus ouch! I should quit anyway myself, my grandpa on my moms side died of a heart attack at 53 years old, but he was a chain smoker..i think that was before there was filter cigs too..

ps. i was informed that nicotine is actually produced by the brain in small amounts and controls calmness and anxiety. when you smoke a cigarette you're actually OD'ing several hundred/thousand times over what your brain naturally produces, after constant use your brain eventually stops producing nicotine, and is why people are more easily aggravated when they don't smoke.

It's tough to believe that anyone (who isn't a stupid high school kid) would start smoking cigarettes. It's an expensive, addictive, disgusting habit. What's the point of it? Build up stress with your nicotine addiction then release it with a smoke? With all of the detrimental effects of smoking that we're aware of, you would have to be an idiot to take it up for something to kill time.

Buy a chess set or something, save your health and your wallet :awesome:
