Well I saw this on here about a week ago and thought I would givce it a try www.Strawnet.com Here's the deal it's basicly fine chopped straw pressed into pellets the size of a wood dowl. If you don't know waht that is it's about a inch long with the width of a ballpoint pen. It comes in the standard size bag of manure 50lbs and was $14.99. I'm only going to try it in one 2sqf tray at first to see what I get. I'm going to spawn it with two 1 quart jars of rye berries at a depth of about 6-7 inches. Incubate then case. I'll keep you all updated on pasturazation cropp yeilds ect.........

they dont sell straw at that site.
But I've seen the one where they do...
keep us posted as i'm interested in buying a 50lb bag my self.

UPDATE:

First impression is "THIS SHIT RULES"

Heres the deal I put a couple of pics so you can get a reference of what to look for and what it looks like. So I went to pasturize this stuff right using a 2 20qt pans and pillow cases, so I loaded the pillow cases like I normally do put them in the pans and started to cook them. So far so good well this stuff expands A LOT!!!!!!! It expanded so much that I had to take the bag out and ended up using it in four differnt pans so in other words on 50lb $14.99 bag will do about 40 2sqf trays. So it?s great on cost, easy as hell to use (as long as you know what your doing), and you don?t have to chop the stuff up. Okay so yesterday I spawned this stuff in my trays and just wanted to see how it was doing and I already have growth. So I will write a tek at some point on how to pasturize this stuff and what amounts to use because trust me we don?t want to go thru what I did it was a major pain in the ass. Now all I have to do is see what type of yields this sruff gets. Sorry for the poor quality of pics and the green haze over the one but my camera sucks!!!!!

i did a search of Pelletized Straw Mulch and found www.summtiseed.com" target="_blank"> www.summtiseed.com they have a 50lb bag for 18.50

Okay you want results!!!!! This shit sucks, first off the alfalfa content is WAY to high. Which means oh yes contamanation heaven. Don't buy this shit it sucks. I'm not saying that all peletized straw is bad just this company is all. So take my advice or don't but whatever you choose good luck!
