When making a spore syringe does the content of the lube matter? For example:

If I were to us this brand/type would that be ok?
Ingredients: Water, Propylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Benzoic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Menthyl Lactate, Methyl Salicylate, Natural & Artificial Mint

Aye lube, I believe it helps keep the spores from sticking together and remain free floating.

What.....teh......fuck? I am missing something here?
Edit: Use Jet Dry, the stuff for dishwashers. A drop is all you need for a syringe.
Also should have used the search function. I found an answer for you right here.

Make sure it's a water based lubricant and you should be all set It should say on the bottle. KY is generally water based. I don't know what some of those ingredients are, but if they're sugar based that might not be good. Good Luck

I have seen the RR video. If you only want input from people that have seen the RR video then say so in your first post.
I have made well over 100 syringes since I started this hobby. I used Jet Dry in almost half of them and I've never had problems nor have people I sent these syringes to. I never tried lube because jetdry worked fine. It also has a smaller ingredient list. Surfurcants, a chelating agent and fragrance (if you get the scented kind, i always went with no scented).
If you are going to be doing multi-spore innoculations then you really don't need anything to separate the spores. Using jet dry/lube is useful when making very dilute solutions for obtaining single spore isolates and similiar work.
I know for a fact that JetDry does however help the spores to NOT stick to the sides of the syringe. When I used Jetdry I never had to shake a syringe hard to break up clumps. Just a quick twitch of the wrist to get the spores that settled on the bottom side of the syringe to fully mix into the water.
Most of the syringes sold by vendors DONT have lube or jetdry. I wish I had a camera to take a picture of a syringe for you. When you get vendor syringes they usually have a clump of spores right? Well my syringes when laid on their side and left to settle have a layer of very very fine looking brown-purple dust. It honestly looks like the powder is finer than powdered sugar.
I suggest that you try both lube and jetdry (its only $4 a bottle). Come back and tell us what you think works better. I'm sticking with Jet Dry.

That's sort of an oxymoron.
