San Francisco!

I'll be out in San Fran for Christmas with relatives this year. I know some of you live in the Bay Area so what are some things I should see while I'm there? I definately want to hit up the Haight, but other than that I'm pretty much clueless. :hippie:

check out gg park, downtowwn embarcadero. market street.
coit tower and the palace of fine arts are both stunningly beautiful places

O right the park. Yeah I was actually already planning on that too. Supposedly there's a "hippie hill"? :tongue:

Jambase wasn't showing much activity for the period that I'll be there. I'd be awesome to see a show at the Fillmore though, so much history.

North Beach has some excellent restaurants

Ghiradelli square has the best ice cream ever...EVER

Golden Gate Bridge has an astounding view, and be sure to walk up to Coit Tower

Turtleback Hill has one of the loveliest views I've ever seen

Chinatown

Um, I'll remember more later

chinese food that u can buy by the pound in china town, some of the small stores with the ducks in the window u can buy fried rice, lo mein, all kinds of good stuff, for dirt cheap like 2$ a pound, only certain places do it, the 1 i remember is located the highest up on the hill and i think furthest north

this place has some good food for cheap ,been going to it since 88 off and on, u can bring your own beer as well
