Selling Mushrooms Kits

OK...If I was to make kits including:
9 one half pint wide mouth kerr jars with holes already drilled Brown rice flower Grade A Vermiculite Measuring cups/spoons Instructions
And sold those kits for like $30 plus shipping
Would that be a good thing for newbies? Would it sell? Would it help thos who have a hard time finding all that stuff? Is it a good idea or am I just shootin in the air?
I would not include spores, but maybe info on where to get spores. Even if a person was not a newbie, it might save them time of running around getting everything and would only cost a couple of dollars more. (which they would save in gas and time)
Is it doable?

why would they have to be complete idiots when they are only spending about 7 or 8 dollars more than what it would cost them if they went out and found everything themselves....I could not sterilize everything for that price...Did u see I said $30...That is not much at all. Not like I am asking $75 or $100...I think that is reasonable for the ammount of crap some of these people have to go through to get this shit

you should sell the half pint jars, but already filled and sterilized. before they get shipped out, you innoculate. send them 2 day mail, and use a terrarium as the shipping box. Include some perlite and instructions. yeah.

Not for $30 and also I don't want anything to do with spore sales. To innoculate them and sell them could get you in trouble. I was just thinking about a start up kit...not selling "half done stuff"

A Good thing for newbies is to let them do their own research, find their own stuff and do the work themselves. Then they become self sufficient...And thats a good thing for newbies. Of course we're always here to offer help if needed

I don't think you could sell them already innoculated in the US. Spores are legal, but mycellium isn't. Selling them already innoculated with the intent to germinate the spores would effectively be selling mycellium...

it takes me about an hour to do 12 jars (grinding the rice myself messuring and mixingdoing the holes in the lids making the ramsey seel probabbly more like 1.5-2 hours......to me it would be woth it as long as the rice was organic and fresh and a ramse seel on them id by em 12 jars 1/2 pint 7 bucks 2lbs rice 3 bucks foil 2 bucks but id sell for 22.50 pluse shipping youd make 10 or 11 bucks per 12 count.. i think its a pretty cool idea! but if your not sterillizing youd have to make em the day you get the order cuz crap will start groing in like 2 or 3 days

I guess if you wanted to try to make a career of it that would be a way to go about doing it.
I think you should just sell spawn jars, spore syringes, manure, and straw, maybe some containers.
And just sell to freinds. Show them Moe's outdoor tek. For $50 they could grow a good sized patch, and should be really happy with it.

If you want to really make a kit...Make A Kit from soup to nuts ie.grow chamber and everything. Make it affordable and cost effective. That would sell. But like any web based business;I can see how it would be real easy for a person to get overwhelmed really fast. Then you have a lot of pissed off customers.
