Sorry I couldn't help you any. I do know a little about the Amanita family, just not enough to feel comfortable giving advice. Unless you know the Amanita family very well, I would avoid them all together. Just my opinion though.

Lets see I can identify the "psychoactive" species Amanita muscaria and A.pantherina.

I can identify the deadly species like A. virosa and A phalloides.

I can Identify the edible species like A. reubescens, A. cesaria, A. calyptrata, A. pachycholea, A. vaginata, and A. fulva.

I can Identify the species of unknown toxicity like A. flavaconia, A. brunescens, and some others.

And, I have pictures of a few Amanitas that do not appear in any books.

And, after 27 years of mushroom picking, which ones do I eat?

None of them.

Why?

Because they are amanitas.

A.phalloides has a smell very similar to peeled potatoes and forms a micorhizzal (sp?) relationship with oaktrees. Buy yourself some guide books or borrow them from a library. Or better still find out if there are any mushroom courses at night school in your area. Lizard king and The Mule are correct, don't bother. There's far more fun and less risk to be had with other members of the Mushrooom family
