shipping to japan

To the Vendors or any customers who might live in Japan,
Can anyone tell me of any success or failure stories of having spores (on print or in syringe, mostly in syringe) shipped to Japan? I'm specifically referring to problems with Japanese Customs.
Have any vendors had things returned by Japanese Customs or heard of them being destroyed?
Thank you.

They can make it to Japan with no problems. If you are concerned with customs inspecting the package, be sure not to order from PF (Psilocybe Fanaticus). Even though PF has a very high quality product, he does identify the contents of the packages for all international orders.

I've sent both syringes and prints to Japan a few times over the years. I never heard back from them, I can only presume they got them ok or else I'm sure someone would have asked.

Captain Max and Mush. Madness, judging by your webpages, I assume that you are in Canada and the US, respectively.
When you send mushroom spores overseas (for legal purposes, of course), is there anything on the outside of the packaging that indicates the contents of the package are mushroom spores? (Customs declarations, etc.) Or is just a cardboard box w/ no return address-type deal?
Thanks for your help. Looking forward to becoming a customer as soon as I hear back from you!

The contents of the package are only disclosed at the customers request. Mail is supposed to be personal. The only person who should know what the contents are is the receiving party.
All packages we ship always have a return address. Letters without return address are redflagged by the postal services.
I hope this information helps my friend!

[Off topic...sorry]
Are psilocybe mushrooms still legal in Japan? I seem to remember you could go into the equivalent of Japanese head shops and buy them....but that was a few years back. No doubt the law has been changed!

"According to Japanese news, psilocybin mushrooms have been outlawed specifically in Japan as of June 2002. Several visitors have written in to erowid to confirm this and have said that there have been a few busts reported"

Yes, "Magic Mushrooms" were sold everywhere (in Japan) until last month, when they were officially outlawed. They are, of course, still available but now will have an even higher price than before b/c they're illegal. (Y'know, dealer's got to be compensated for his risks, right?!)
At any rate, I'm not interested in having mushrooms, only spores. Even after reading the Japanese law that outlawed "magic mushrooms", I'm still not sure as to the legality of spores.
Vendors, thanks for your help. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. Expect an order for discreetly packaged products soon.
