If Torre is so good of a manager, why did all his teams suck before he happened to land with the "Stacked With Talent" Yanks?
I dont think Joe Girardi or Don Mattingly will have much of a problem doing at least as well as Joe has recently...

first, I'm very impressionable and I was going to just change my post, but now that you've gone ahead and said this, torre's cardinal team was pretty good if i remember correctly, yeah they didn't win a ring but they were good, so that's one that didn't suck, and if you call "sucking" reaching the playoffs for 12 CONSECUTIVE seasons well then I guess every manager must suck cause I don't think there is another team that did that, but yes girardi or mattingly will take good care of this team, and its not like any manager including torre could make this team bad, they've got good name players all across the board so this is like waltzing into "a gravy train on biscuit wheels" anyways they're always going to be a contender with their line up...

Steinbrenner is a great owner now, ever since his suspension. He uses the fan's money and gets (and KEEPS) players to help the team win. What more could a fan ask for? As for the Braves, how many times did they actually win in that 14 year span anyway?

He drove me fucking nuts before his suspension with his endless meddling. He spent the money sure but then he swung his stupid dick around and ruined everything. After the suspension he saw what real professional baseball people could do with the money and pretty much butted out. Good for him, better late than never. He's shot now anyway. All I can say is thanks George, you sure made it interesting. And you got us a bunch of champions, too. What is it now, 35 years? 10 WS appearances and 6 wins? That's even more impressive than their previous history because there were more teams to beat
