Sativa & Shellfish soup with leek's and lemongrass.
    #7510107 - 10/11/07 06:46 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

I noticed them restocking some delicious prince edward island mussels at the market, so I decided to through some shit together. I basically prepared in a few steps then just threw it all into the pot and let it all reduce.

The broth was made from about pound and half of mussels, 5 cherrystone clams, about 4-5 cups of water, some chives, a bit of salt, pepper chives. Also a srsly generous splash of white wine, and some rubbed sage. First I got all the herbs and liquid together brought that up to a boil. Then with the shellfish, I put them in a bowl with some cold water, and about a handfull of flour. There should be some bubbles present, which is good cause the clams and mussels should still be alive. The flour will bring out all the sand and things not really appatizing. I threw them in the broth, and covered for about 5-6 minutes, till they all steam open. Then l cooled them in the icebox, and added the broth too the pot. I shelled the clams and about half the mussels. Adding the meat and the rest of the whole mussels into the pot.

Next you'll need a big handfull of the finest sativa heads. Remove the stems and bigger leaves, get a sauté pan, add a stick of butter and a big splash of the most delicious oil around. I used some porcini & chanterelle mushroom oil made up earlier. Once that was all heated up, I added the heads and killed the heat, letting the bud soak up in the butter for a bit. Then put on med heat, added about lbs of chopped up leek's, couple minced cloves of garlic, a splash of white wine vinegar, some sherry wine, also some chopped up lemon grass. Tossed that around a bit, then added some crushed red & white peper, a sliced up serrano chili pepper, added some fresh basil, greek oregonal, chives, and two chopped tomato's. Tossed that a bit, then added about 3cups of thick sliced True Blue Lewit mushrooms(Clitocybe Nuda.) Tossed, then added it too the shellfish meat and broth in the pot. I added some tomato' puree, some cream, and two whole stalks of bruised up lemon grass, aswell as some turkish bay leaf. Let that boil up, I added another two cups of water, then some celery and zuicini. Once everything is al'a dente and it reduces a bit. I cooked up some caplinii pasta, and oiled and set off to the side. Serve that shit ontop of the pasta, and relax.

its really fruity, smells like french toast, and it compliments the lemongrass and the deliciousness.

I'm going to have to agree with you on "shit" Pasta I find is a great way to ruin any meal. And I love mussels, but not done that way, it would not blend well with the buds.

Then again, what does your cannabis taste like on it's own? The last batch I had was delicious, sweet, fruity, pine terpine scent.

What? It consistently makes me puke. I eat it and think "This is like condensed, soggy, failure bread."
