My Giant Wild Dagga Never Flowered
    #7503327 -

I grew 5 wild dagga plants on the southwest side of my house. They grew between 10-12 ft tall. It is my understanding that 6-8 feet is the norm. The damn things never flowered. It appears they just remained in vegetative state. My theory is the security light attached to my neighbor's shop. It is on all night.

What do you guys think about this?

EG

Sounds like you need to take out your neighbours security light.

Well...the first problem is that he is one of three neighbors way out here. Secondly, he is an electrical engineer (pointless in cutting wires), and finally I have already harvested them.

Next year they are going in a different spot. My neighbor put that light up 3 weeks after I planted the dagga. Damn him.

Oh well, I know what the deal is next year. You should have seen those monsters. My leaves aren't dry yet, but I am going to go low and say 2 lbs dry weight. WTF am I going to do with all that foliage?

hmmmm......

I probably will give some away in the next week or two. I will let everyone know when that will be. I will send it out free of charge via reg mail.

I'll get back with you deformedreality, no problem.

BTW it's pretty good for foliage. Real relaxing.

I am also wondering what is the trigger for flowering in these plants. I have several klip dagga/lion's ear plants about 7 feet tall. They too have just remained vegetative and haven't tried to flower. They receive close to full sun and some ferts. I grew them with the hopes they'd give me lots of seed for 2008 but they haven't flowered at all. They are annuals so I would really like to get them to flower before winter comes. Still got some time before it gets cold here so there is some hope. Anyone know what triggers or helps klip dagga to flower?

last year I had some Klip daggas that flowered at 9 or 10 feet
Marajuanilla flowers much earlier though.  I got them to flower at 2 feet.
