My brother in law played H3 beta. He said it was ok, but there is almost no change from Halo and Halo 2. A few more guns, and vehicles, but nothing near what Halo was when it came out. He played for a few weeks, on and off but always went back to Gears of War. :shrug:

like i;ve said before, what is so badass about any of the halo titles? the PC platform does FPS far better than console platform could ever dream of. QUAKE, Unreal Tournament, DOOM, F.E.A.R, Half Life, need I go on? There isn't anything inherently unique about the doom series. it's just doom with vehicles.

The theatre mode kicks ass up and down... Gameplay is like Halo2 with better maps and graphics, but watching the games afterwards is badass.

I'll save judgement until I get a few CTF games in... Team Slayer is OK, but objective games are where the skillz come into play.

i just played it for a little while.. .it just feels weird to play a FPS on an xbox. kinda lame...
game looks alright though.

I dont even own a console, FPS suck ass on them. RPGs are little changed from final fantasy. I dont play sports games, maybe racing, which is the only game i find better on a console, but thats only due to the controler, which is still cheaper for a pc.

And now consoles are edging closer and closer to pc's, hell all they lack is a word processor. Buy a pc, be able to upgrade it, and have better graphics. On one machine, im dl torrents, running 4 background reaserch programs, surfing the web, and playing a game at better frame rates then a console. Only problem i have is selection, because its a mac, but its an intel and i do have XP.

And i still have my TV free to watch whatever, usually Discovery, or History.

Maby for blue ray, but untill the hd dvd/blue ray thing is settled, im not shelling $800 on a player/consle, that has few good titles.

This is from a game last night... I'm the Red guy.

2 enemy snipers were laying fire down to the left... I snuck around that boulder, through the river and popped the one. Seconds later, my teammate took out the other guy...

The screenshot/replay function makes Halo3 a mold breaker.

I'll see more about gameplay tonight when I veg for 6 hours. :smile:

There are a couple things I like about the Halo 3, even though it still doesn't touch Halo:

The guys actually carry their fucking guns on their backs, so they aren't just pulling a giant fucking rocket launcher out of their assholes anymore.

The funny shield thing, those are pretty cool.

The giant fucking axe shit that fucks shit the fuck up. That thing is bad ass!

Warcraft 3 had game replay; i remember studying my opponents from battle.net to see all the good strats. and that was like 6-7 years ago. PC > consoles in ingenuity, always have been, always will.
