fucking Blockbuster

Two movies I really want to see were supposed to be available yesterday and as of 3pm today, they aren't on the goddamn shelves at the video store. WtF is up with that?

that way videos are always in stock, i asume.

I've been thinking about Netflix for quite some time actually. Don't know how it works with new releases though

I had netflix for a year... I recently switched to blockbuster. It's a couple bucks more per month, but it's pretty much the same and you get to return movies in the store.

The cool thing though, that they don't tell you is this.

I have a 2 movies unlimited per month plan. I can return a movie I got int he mail at the store 4 TIMES per month to swap it out.

The funny thing is... when the store mails back the movie for you.. you already have two movies in your possession.. one from the mail and one from the store.. and you're paying for 2 movies a month.. but once the HQ gets the movie back you traded in.. they STILL mail you another movie from your queue.. so you actually can have THREE movies out at a time even though you only pay for two.

I *WISH* Hollywood Video would do something like that. Blockbuster has plenty of indie and obscure movies they can mail you, but their in store selection is limited. Hollywood Video has the best in store selection by far. If they jumped into the mail order ring, they'd fuck up both Netflix AND Blockbuster.

If it's one of those "garunteed in stock" movies, then make sure you get your free rain check movie.
