Value of pure opium?

How much is a gram of opium worth, generally? Is $40/g considered too much?

You can't really find opium from your typical "drug dealers" and if you do, its fake.

There is a wide range in quality, from adulterated raw opium, to regular raw opium, to cooked opium.

A gram of said "opium" is worth whatever people pay for it.
